Welcome
This website provides the resources to support people who wish to train others in Palau on seabird monitoring (training-of trainers).
The content and structure are derived from the Pacific Seabird Survey and Monitoring Manual, which, like this website, was developed as part of the Pacific BioScapes project.
The SPREP Seabird Action Plan 2022-2026 defines the strategy for enhancing seabird monitoring and recovery in the region.
Content from the Pacific Seabird Survey and Monitoring Manual has been tailored to Palau's immediate needs to support workshops held in Palau in 2026.

How to use this website
The Workshop resources section of the website provides you with the materials needed to run a three-day training event on seabird monitoring. All the materials are downloadable and editable, so you can tailor them to the needs of specific groups or if your training needs change in the future.
Use the rest of the website to find additional reference materials you might need. You can use the search function at the top of the page. If there is something else that you need to deliver your training event, check the Seabirds Survey and Monitoring Manual.
You can browse through the manual on the website using the links at the bottom of each page, or read specific Parts and their Sections using the links at the top of the page.
Contact the Pacific BioScapes team if you have a specific need.
