Palau bird monitoring

The Palau Protected Area Network has protocols for measuring and monitoring environmental health, and includes some coastal bird monitoring that includes some seabirds (Appendix E on page 23).

The seabirds monitored using the PAN protocols are:

• (Greater) Crested Tern
• Black-naped Tern
• Black Noddy
• Brown Noddy

Little Pied Cormorant is also included as an indicator species.

The State of Palau's Birds surveys also include records on seabirds.
